Oregon Marionberry Whiskey
Product Story
At a Distillery Row meeting in 2013, we had a visitor from the Oregon Berry Commission, who expressed their interest in working with local distillers on events and promotions. After the meeting, I chatted with her and mentioned that I had already made a whiskey using Oregon cherries. It was then that I learned that cherries are not actually berries because they have pits and that berries have edible seeds. Of course, the most Oregon berry is the Marionberry, so I started work on adapting my Cherry Bomb recipe for marionberries. The result made for a much lighter, slightly sweet sipping whiskey. A number of people over the years have shared that Oregon Marionberry Whiskey is their favorite whiskey, especially as a unique gift for special friends.
